We’re trying to budget our trip to make it longer at the moment, how does one budget for a extended time away? We’ve got rough estimates about daily budgets from sites like Lonely Planet and The never ending voyage In the latter he brought his heavy fat macbook on the holiday to continue making websites, I’ve got my little netbook from dell, should we bring the mac, does that make us a target for robbery?

First on our list will probably be south America, where we hope to see our mates Fernando and Magnus. We where thinking about starting in Peru, and making our way across to Brazil to meet Fernando and go about Brazil for another month. Then spend another month making our way across and north to Central America to Costa Rica to eat ceviche and drink Imperial with Magnus. Please leave a comment if you have any ideas for us

Sarah has compiled a small list of things we need for our journey. I’m scared with the “sterile syringe”, apparently its good to have and give to the doctor, to be safe, I don’t think doctors will take that as “you seem like a nice doctor, but I don’t think you’ve been taught hygiene”

We’ll it’s not the actual trip, but we had a little week away anyway, the other week. So we meet up with Anna and Matt down at the Isles of Scilly lovely party of the world that, We stayed at Matts timeshare on Tresco, which is an island leased from the Duchy of Cornwall (hence the timeshare). The island has a micro-climate (or so they say) and can grow tropical flowers, so the english like to refer to it as a “tropical” island!

Oh well it’s a few months left. For you who’s just stumlbled onto this blog; We’re Jim & Sarah, and we’re going on a Journey, possible a Journey of selfdiscovery but mostly a journey of lessure and recharging.
